Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am kinda of working in a team (Sophia, Colton, and me) but mainly it is by myself.
What materials will you need for your project?
Some materials that I will need are: A computer to create the digital portfolio, a robot (A Mini robot), and a tablet to record.
What is your plan to create in this project?
My plan is to correctly drive a robot in coding and regular driving.
What unique qualities will your project have?
A unique quality that my project will have is that it can ramp up a ramp. (I didn't get a video of this)
Using the robots, I created a working robot because it was for a project that we where doing also it is for fun and for trying out the robots.
During this process, I learned that using a robot can be very confusing.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I had to learn how to drive the robots.
A challenge I overcame on this project was controlling the robots, also other people kept connecting to Sophia's and I's robot. I was able to do it by getting help from Sophia, me and Sophia were able to overcome people controlling our robots by telling other people to connect to Example: 23D-FK2 (Because each has a code or name when connecting)
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the way I only mainly used the mini bots. The reason why I would change it is because I didn't really get to experiment with other robots.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Robot engineering.
