Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am working in a team with Sophia and Colton to work on the project.
What materials will you need for your project?
Some materials that we will need for the project are: Cardboard, Popsicle sticks, skewers, tape, hot glue guns, hot glue, plastic or saran wrap, glass beads, scissors, and toilet paper roles/paper towel roles.
What is your plan to create in this project?
Our plan is to do separate projects to make it more unique also they are not all games.
What unique qualities will your project have?
Some unique qualities that our project will have are they are all different and we are doing are own thing, also there will be moving parts.
Here are some pictures before it is finished. This is the Base of the Dragon puppet head so far, what I did so far is I made the top and bottom jaw also a little bit of the top of the head. I still need to add the reads of the top of the head, the lower bottom jaw details, teeth, eyes, mouth movement, and horns.
Here are some of the finished project pictures below.
Using mainly Cardboard, tape, wooden sticks, scissors, and cardboard toilet paper roles. I created a move able dragon head puppet out of cardboard. Sophia did a game out of the same materials. And Colton made a projector out of the same materials with a lens and mirrors, because we couldn't think of a project to do together so we decided to do separate projects that include different qualities.
During this process, I learned that making a move able dragon was easier than I thought because I thought I would need a hinge so it could move the jaw but all I needed was a wooden stick to move the jaw up and down.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I knew how I wanted my project to look like and what I needed for the jaw to move.
A challenge I overcame on this project was the move able jaw. I was able to do it by using a wooden stick to made it move instead of a hinge or screw to help it move.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the jaw shape. The reason why I would change it is because the jaw is more bulky than I wanted it. Also I would want to change hoe it is only a head, I really wanted to make a body and stuff so it looked more realistic but I didn't have enough time.
