Daily Log
Day 1 ( I tinkered around with tinker cad not really knowing what I'm doing with it and experimented allot.
Day 2 ( I looked some things up thru the search bar on tinker cad, like Barbells, Headphone holder, Key chain , Necklace and experimented the possibilities of those ideas.
Day 3 ( I decided on a necklace charm with my basketball number as the main object with my family's initials indented in the number.
Day 4 ( I worked on my project and switched around the shapes and sizes and experimented the different possibilities of my idea.
Day 5 ( I got all of the dementions right adjusting my grid size and worked on the indentations of the initials.
Day 6 ( I got everything finalized and sent to Mr. Renner.
Some things i would do DIFFERENTLY
1( The first thing is i would check the grid size out more and learn more about that because the size of the grid compared to the size o my project was too little leading in my project being to big and not appropriate for a necklace charm like i had originally hoped it would be.
2( The second thing is learn more about the overall website ( tinker cad) I really just did the bare minimum and didn't really experiment with anything else and i feel as if i wish i knew how to do more on tinker cad.
Some things i LEARNED
Some things i learned is to make negative and positive space and how to incorporate those into my 3D print to add to the result i wanted. I wanted a necklace charm with my sports number as the main charm with all of my family initials indented into the number but i didn't know how to make a indent only a hole so learned how to do that, along with multiple other things like adjusting the grid size to get a better understanding of how big nor small your object is, and overall just learned how to tinker in tinker cad.
Some Things I OVERCAME
I overcame allot in this project coming into this i had never done anything like this was completely oblivious to the things that computers can do but being in this class has opened my eyes on the possible ideas of careers that I could do. Saying that the things I overcame is how to make a website I've never done anything like this before and had no idea what I was doing there for I've needed allot of help throughout this project I've learned so much with just the computer and what certain buttons do what, I also overcame how to turn this assignment like I said coming in I didn't know anything about all this I also overcame how to tinker in tinker cad and how to make positive and negative space like indents holes and other things completely changed my view point in 3D printing overall I overcame and learned so much in the computer and 3D printing world.
What reflects on CAREERS
My project is similar to a digital citizen because a digital citizen needs the knowledge to properly use the internet and other digital technology this compares to my tinker cad project because I had to gain the knowledge to use tinker cad to properly make my project and di it the right way with proper knowledge of what I'm doing and understanding why.
Why I did this PROJECT
I did this project because I thought it would be cool to have necklace charm to put on a necklace so I could have all of my family when I playing the sports I love.
Images and Video:
Using tinker cad, I created a 3D print because It was my project.
During this process, I learned How to design a 3d print and make positive and negative space.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to a digital citizen because a digital citizen needs the knowledge to properly use the internet and other digital technology this compares to my tinker cad project because I had to gain the knowledge to use tinker cad to properly make my project and did it the right way with proper knowledge of what I'm doing and understanding why.
A challenge I overcame on this project was ...I overcame allot in this project coming into this i had never done anything like this was completely oblivious to the things that computers can do but being in this class has opened my eyes on the possible ideas of careers that I could do.
I was able to do it by trial and error and asking lots of questions and learning by mistakes.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change The first thing is i would check the grid size out more and learn more about that because the size of the grid compared to the size o my project was too little leading in my project being to big and not appropriate for a necklace charm like i had originally hoped it would be.
