Daily Log:

Day 1 I did drones and has my partner bail on me and go to Hot wheels.

Day 2 I did drones again today and took some videos.

Day 3 I bailed on drones and decided to do Hot wheels with Nathan, Izsak and Kyle.

Day 4 We took some test runs and got our track built.

Day 5 We finalized everything and finished up our track and took it apart.

Day 6 We worked on our websites.

• Using Hot wheels, I created a track that a hot wheels car can go on and complete 3 loops. I did this because I wanted to see how many loops we could get a hot wheels car to go around.

• During this process, I learned about gravity and how the ramp cant be too steep or the car will fall off due to how steep it is.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative designer cause through failure I changed it to make it better and figure out why what wasn't working wasn't working.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was finding the right angle of the ramp to get enough speed to clear all 3 ramps. I was able to do it by trial and error and figuring out what works and what doesn't_.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size of the ramps and make them smarter so the car could clear 4-5 ramps instead of 3. The reason why I would change it is because i think it would look cooler if it cleared more then just 3 ramps.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the engineering deign CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in engineering and mechanics.
