Using Scratch, I created two people on a field playing soccer and one of them going and shooting the ball because I thought it would be fun to code some people playing soccer against each other and one of them shooting the ball into the goal.
During this process, I learned how to code better using scratch and how make my coding look better and not so rough. I also learned more things about scratch like how to better my coding and change the background, along with the looks of my characters during this project.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative designer because I had to design the coding a bunch of different times in order for it to work.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to make it look like she actually kicked the ball into the goal and have it look good and realistic. I was able to do it by testing out a bunch of different codes and seeing which went/looked best that made her look like it wasn't coded.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change it to where there are more players on the field going for the ball rather than two. The reason why I would change it is because it would be more of a challenge for me and it would be fun to put more coding into it.
