Using scratch I created a game of baseball/the pitcher throwing the ball then the batter hitting it. because I wanted to code something a bit harder and something that would take me longer to finish and a project that I would have to retry things in order to get it right.
During this process, I learned how to better use scratch and my knowledge of coding in order to be able to create this project. I also learned how to make my coding look like it's not coded and that they're on a tv or something.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I had to use my past knowledge with scratch in order to make this project better and more advanced.
A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to figure out how to get the ball to smoothly go over to the batter rather than just teleporting there. I was able to do it by looking at my code options and testing out which ones would make it look more realistic and not just having the ball teleport to the batter.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change it and make the game longer and maybe add more details that I may have missed the first time doing this project. The reason why I would change it is because it would make it look better and give me more of a challenge, and I could work on my coding skills even more and make them more advanced.
