Using The tools I had to disassemble a computer, I disassembled a google Chromebook And it taught me how to use the tools I have make a computer part and make them into new parts.
During this process, I learned the parts in a computer and made it so I can maybe be able to create my own computer at my own house.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because you would have to be able to get your parts sometimes from a failed project or a failed or broken machine for part to be Innovative.
A challenge I overcame on this project was having the screwdriver keep skipping on the screws it was trying to unscrew. I was able to do it by trying doing trial and error on different ways I can unscrew the screw.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of Chromebook I didn't have to do. I would make it so I had more work to do on the Chromebook. The reason why I would change it is because I was done way to fast and there was none to do except unscrew the screws.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in Engineering Design because you have to know the basic layout of the computer and know what your doing to the computer and SORT THE PART so you dont loose them.
