these are images of my games i created. There are Images for some of my projects that actually show the code.
Using the scratch code designer , I created five games a story game, a racing game, a maze game , a platforming game and, a chase game, because those seemed like fun projects. In the story game the sprite says that they like Mario. In the racing game you have to go around a track to get to the finish line but you can press a button and change tracks. In the maze game you play as a knight who has to go around a large snow pile to get a princess. In the platforming game you are a monkey who has to jump on to these platforms to grab an apple and when you do a funny noise plays. Finally in the chase game you play as a dragon who you control with the mouse who has to not get hit by a bouncing skeleton.
During this process, I learned how to use the scratch coding device. I just learned this because i never used scratch up to this point. One other thing I learned is that it is a lot of work to design a game. I learned this because I thought it wouldn't take one slice of code to turn around but it does.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Digital Citizen because I posted all of my games onto scratch. My project also connects to Empowered Learner. My project is connected to it because I set the goal that I would be able to make the games I was supposed to in the correct amount of time.
A challenge I overcame on this project was that I didn't listen to the video and accidentally made the wrong game which put me back a whole day. I was able to do it by giving myself extra time to do this project. One other problem I had during this project was I lost power at my dads house so I wasn't able to work on Monday. I over came this by working extra hard.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the projects that we do. The reason why I would change it is because sure these projects were fun but there are so many different genres out there. One Other thing I would change is the time we had to do this project. I would change this because I did this project in three days and their is still some days that are free to me.
