Reflection

• Using my assigned iPad, a chessboard I borrowed, and a tripod, my partner and I created a chess game. We did this because we needed to make a project in which we could get a bunch of pictures. My partner also really wanted to do the chess set. 

• During this process, I learned that you need to make sure your partner's hand is out of the way before you press the button that takes pictures. Otherwise, the iPad will capture his/her hand. 

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational thinker. It ties to this because we are doing the same thing over and over and over again to make this "movie."

• A challenge I overcame on this project was getting enough pictures to make the full 3 minute movie. I was able to do it by moving the pieces small amounts so we could get as many pictures as possible. 

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the project piece. The reason why I would change it is because chess can be so boring if you do it more than once. It is also a pain to take a picture of every quarter of a move. 

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers like a stop motion animator.
