What materials will you need for your project? iPad, iMovie, Creative Commons images, sounds, and music.

What is your plan to create in this project? My plan is to create a video.

What unique qualities will your project have? Some unique qualities my project will have are my interests and my favorite things.

Daily Log:

Day 1

Today I made my website. I made a list of ten planning questions to help me with this project.

Day 2

Today I learned about and started using iMovie to make videos.

Day 3

I started making my video on iMovie.

Day 4

I accidentally deleted my video so I started over on making my video on iMovie. I also had to help someone.

Day 5

I continued to make my video and all I have to do is make my voice over.

Day 6

I continued to make my iMovie.

Day 7

I finished making my iMovie

Day 8

I added things to my website.

Day 9

I finished making my website!!!

Reflection:

Using iMovie and an iPad, I created a movie about my favorite things because I want people to know my favorite things. Having people know about things that interest me let them know what kind of person I am. For example, I have a picture of Michael Jackson in my video. That shows people that I am a MJ fan.

During this process, I learned how to make a movie and a website by following along with Mr. Renner in class.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructor because I was shown how to edit one image on my video and was able to make a whole movie off of that knowledge.
A challenge I overcame on this project was finding pictures on the Creative Commons License. I was able to do it by clicking on a button that showed me all the options and clicked on Creative Commons License. It was kind of confusing to have to go back and make sure that the image was a Creative Commons Licence if I forgot to click on it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change my topic. The reason why I would change it is because its really boring for people to hear what I like every single time I get to make a movie about something. I also just showed everybody my favorite things. What else is there?
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia. CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in video editing.
