What materials will you need for your project?

The circuit playground express, the adafruit coding software

What is your plan to create in this project?

Several different projects including but not limited too a loudness necklace, clap light, and night light

What unique qualities will your project have?

I will attempt to use variable in one, a project I design myself.

• Using  the adafruit software and the circuit playground express, I created a night light because I'm scared of the dark. I also created a loudness necklace because boys have no self-awareness and literally shout across the room so I wanted them to realize when they are being to loud. In addition I created a button flipper game because I was bored and wanted a game to play so I created one.

• During this process, I learned that unlike the microbit you need to keep the circuit playground express plugged in. I also learned that variables re very difficult to use. In addition I learned how to flash the code to the circuit playground express.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because I posted everything on my website for the world to see. My project ties to knowledge constructor because I used the tutorials to help me figure out what to make. In addition it ties to digital citizen because I did not use copyrighted images in this project.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to flash the circuit playground  . I was able to do it by Mr. Renner prompting me to unplug it and plug it back in again. In the future I will always try this first.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change which projects I did. The reason why I would change it is because my project that I tried to create was notable to be finished. In the future I will remember to start the hardest project first.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the digital computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School. It connects to this because they code computer's. I would not take the computer programming course at Hastings high school because I do not like coding.

• My project connects to careers in computer programmer because they code computers. The national average salary for a computer programmer is $68,620 a year.I would be not become a computer programmer because I do not like coding.
