What materials will you need for your project?

The imovie editing tool the microbit and make code software.

What is your plan to create in this project?

I will create several of the projects listed above using the makecode editor then flashing it to the micro bit.

What unique qualities will your project have?

I will do a partner project for at least one and make my own project.

Day:8 I worked on my reflection questions this day.

•  Using The micro:bit, make code editing software, and the i movie editing app, I created a name badge, a beating heart, an emotion badge, a giraffe eating a tree, a teleporting duck, and a hot potato game. The reason why is I thought these projects would help me to earn a good grade on this assignment. Most of these projects were suggested on the micro:bit site except the hot potato project I had to tweak and the giraffe project I made.

• During this process, I learned How to code. I also learned how to flash the code to the microbit. In addition I learned how to delete the audio from videos in Imovie.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because I posted everything to my website for the world to see. It also ties to innovative designer because I changed the hot potato code to fit the micro:bit 1 instead of the 2. In addition it ties to Digital citizen because I did not use copyrighted images for the project.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was Learning to use the snip it tool to take an image of my code. I was able to do it by asking my friend where to find it on my computer. Another challenge I overcame was learning to flash my micro:bit. I did it by finding the cord and asking my friend which port to put it in. In addition I overcame the challenge of learning to delete audio from videos. I did it by asking my friend where to find it in the tool in the imovie app.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change which projects I did. The reason why I would change it is because I wanted to do more of my own but I had no time. If given more time I would have attempted to make a lamp that goes on and off with the dark and light.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School.  This is because I programmed a computer. Most likely I will not take the CTE program at hastings high school, because I am not interested in careers in this field.

• My project connects to careers in Web developing because they also program computers. They make an average of $67,712 per year. Because this paycheck is so low I would not like to be a Web developer.
