Are you working by yourself or in a team?
In a team.
What materials will you need for your project?
Legos.
What is your plan to create in this project?
use special lego designs.
What unique qualities will your project have?
I will use a lot of detail.
Me and Liam decided what we were going to use for the project.
We started to build and come up with a plan.
We started taking pictures today but didn't get a lot done
We took more pictures and started using our plan.
Someone stole a figure from our bin so we had to improvise.
Today we got a ton done.
Today Liam wasn't here and so I struggled a little.
Liam was gone again so I had to finish it my self and it was alright.
Today I made the reference page and did the final things.
Using Legos and a iPad, I created a healthy life choice because it was the project.
During this process, I learned how to make a stop motion.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Digital Citizen because I made sure I didn't copy right.
A challenge I overcame on this project was my partner was gone and I had to work by my self. I was able to do it by staying productive.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change when my partner was there we would have worked better. The reason why I would change it is because we struggled.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in construction because I designed and engineered the Legos.
Using Legos and an iPad, I created a healthy life choice as part of my project. By combining these tools, I was able to design and demonstrate a concept that promotes well-being, emphasizing the importance of making positive decisions for one's health. This project allowed me to creatively explore ways to represent and encourage healthy habits through interactive technology and hands-on building with Legos.
During this process, I learned how to create a stop motion animation. This involved capturing a series of individual frames by taking pictures of objects or scenes in small incremental movements. By putting these frames together in sequence, I was able to produce the illusion of motion. It was a valuable learning experience that helped me develop new skills in both photography and animation, allowing me to see how small changes can come together to tell a story.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to the Digital Citizen standard because I made sure to respect copyright laws and avoid using any material without permission. By doing this, I ensured that my work was ethical and responsible, demonstrating my understanding of digital rights and the importance of creating original content in a digital environment.
A challenge I overcame during this project was that my partner was absent, and I had to complete the work on my own. Despite this setback, I was able to stay productive and focused on the task at hand. By managing my time effectively and staying organized, I was able to accomplish everything that needed to be done, ensuring the project was completed successfully.
Given the chance to do this again, I would change the way my partner and I worked together. When my partner was present, we struggled to collaborate effectively, and I believe we could have worked better as a team. If we had communicated more clearly and divided tasks more efficiently, I think our project would have turned out smoother and more successful. The experience showed me the importance of teamwork and how much it can improve the overall process.
Hastings High School's Career and Technical Education Program offers a wide range of courses, including Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project is connected to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School, as it involved using design and problem-solving skills to create a functional and innovative solution. Through this project, I was able to apply the concepts and techniques learned in the Engineering Design program, making it a valuable hands-on experience in the field.
My project connects to careers in construction because I designed and engineered the Legos used in the project. By carefully planning and building with Legos, I applied concepts similar to those used in construction, such as structural design, precision, and problem-solving. This experience allowed me to explore the practical aspects of engineering and construction, as I worked to create a stable and functional model, much like what would be required in real-world construction projects.
