Technology has change so much throughout the years and it continues to change, at a seemingly rapid rate in the time we live now. The internet has caused and explosion of new technology and the faster the internet speed gets the the quicker the pace and sophistication of the technology that is available is.
In my life time I could see many things like flying cars or robots that mow my lawn. If the effects of the pandemic have showed us anything it is likely that students might be taught by humanoid robots in the near future to help reduce the spread of disease. We could see zoo keepers replaced by a computer systems and droids that safely and effectively manage the animals. A wide array of jobs could be replaced by robots such as office workers, construction crews, chefs, carpenters, programming, demolition, garbage men, all sorts of jobs would be replaced and people would be left jobless. A large number of specialized technology jobs will available however to do the programming and set up of all the new robot/droid equipment we will see.
We would probably be able to go to space and live on planets like Mars or Pluto. There will probably be a time where wars will be fought solely by droids on the battle field, controlled by human soldiers back at the safety at home and eventually completely controlled by AI. Scientist will more than likely figure out how to safely and routinely clone people. What I'm saying is star wars would probably happen and it would be awesome. When we die we could be cloned or uploaded to a sort of VR world, what would be even better than star wars happening would be dinosaurs being brought back from the dead and put into an amusement park just like in Jurassic park/world and that would keep me on earth instead of going to Jupiter because I would get to see dinosaurs! and i would love it. the US might get separated into districts and the Hunger Games would happen, and to be honest that wouldn't be the best future, or divergent might happen which would be the same, not the best future ever. In conclusion jobs would be replaced and lots of books and movies would most likely happen and it would be awesome.
We all ready see cars that can park and drive themselves with a human behind the wheel, but I think by means of AI eventually we will see completely automated, driver-less vehicles, where you can sit in the back seat and sleep while it drives you to your destination. Elon Musk will find a way to quickly and effectively transport people back and forth to Mars where we could have weekend excursions. Air travel will become a thing of the past to help cut down on emissions, instead we will travel around the world via teleportation, like in Star Trek.
By means of programs such as crispr which by means of AI are powered into hyper drive we could see cures to things that plague mankind such as cancer, heart disease, as well as Alzheimer. However for every disease man cures other bigger more dangerous diseases and threats will arise.
We have already seen as we venture further and further towards and all digital society our personal information and privacy are at risk. In the future companies will go to even further lengths than they already do, think Amazon, to predict and reveal our thoughts and actions. This will then be used for many different aspects in the world, from cutting down on the the time we spend shopping to helping solve crimes and catch criminals faster.
We live in an ever changing world, that will never stop. When my dad and I were talking about this he brought up the cartoon the Jetsons and how everything from that cartoon has become a reality even flying cars are in the works. If that is true of a cartoon from 1960s imagine some of the technology that we see in cartoons and tv shows today. Will we see that technology in our time, or in our childrens time? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure that technology will never stand still and will continue to move forward and get harder, better, faster, and stronger!
