this is my Punching Stand and bat

Using cardboard, tape, hot glue, tinfoil, and a tooth pick i created a punching stand. you can hit the Punching Stand with either a cardboard dart or a card board bat which may not look pretty but still get the job done. before creating the Punching Stand I didn't have any ideas, I was just sitting there not doing anything but then a genius idea came upon me, I wanted to punch something because I was annoyed so I thought of creating a sort of punching bag to beat up. in our homes we don't really have anything we would want to break so i built this with the sole intention of being something to release your anger on. while building the Punching Stand I learned for something tall and skinny to stand straight there has to be supports big enough to hold up the building, the Punching Stand is in a perpetual lean because i had one of the supports bend because it could not hold the weight staying in a straight position.

The 7 standards of Innovation and Design are Empowered learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator the Punching Stand ties to Innovative Designer, because I had to test things like the dart to see if it could be used as an actual dart, or testing the actual Punching Stand to see how much punishment it could take.

A challenge I overcame while making the Punching Stand was ensuring that the Punching Stand would stay standing because the tape would keep coming off the supports so how I over came it was putting hot glue on the tape to help it keep its stickiness. If i were given the chance to do this again I would Improve the supports so it would stay standing straight, the reason I would change that because with the Punching Stand leaning its more susceptible to damage it feels like. Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. The Punching Stand connects to Engineering Design CTE program, the career connection is construction.

In Conclusion I am proud of my little Punching Bag Baby and it was a lot of fun making him.
