Are you working by yourself or in a team?
by myself
What materials will you need for your project?
3D print
What is your plan to create in this project?
cars rear axel
What unique qualities will your project have?
might go on my model car
Using the 3D printer, I created a rear axel for a car because I thought maybe I could put it on my model car.
During this process, I learned how much extra filament the 3D printer uses to fill in the holes.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I had to find out how on the internet what to use or the differential in the middle of the axel.
A challenge I overcame on this project was finding the axel and the differential cover for the axel. I was able to do it by looking up picture and using two diamonds .
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the axel size . The reason why I would change it is because the axel is a bit skinny and flex able.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design, CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in model design because I am gonna use this axel in one of my model cars.
