• Using Hotwheels, I created a cool track because I liked Hotwheels a lot as a small child.

• During this process, I learned how to make a turn with a straight track.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I thought of making a turn by banking a straight piece of track to make a turn when we didn't have any turning pieces.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was keeping the car on the track during a steep drop and a sideways turn. I was able to do it by making sure the stuff stayed in place with Duct Tape.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change what pieces I used. The reason why I would change it is because only being able to use a clamp, loops, and straight track was very limiting.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Roller Coaster Design.
