What is your plan to create in this project? a controller for an etch-a-sketch and a controller for a game called Tough Love Arena.

What unique qualities will your project have? The buttons will work and feel good.

Using the makey makey, I created a controller for an etch-a-sketch and a TLA controller because I thought that it would be cool along with my partners.
During this process, I learned how to use makey makeys to make a controller.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator because I made a controller for a game I was passionate about and put a video I made on my website.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to make the makey makey have more buttons than just the two buttons. I was able to do it by getting a little help from Mr. Renner and looking on the back of the makey makey and find the thing I need to connect to a certain cable.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the game I choose. The reason why I would change it is because I know more about the makey makey and can add more buttons.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in the development of a controller for a specific game.

This is the first part of my project. The etch-a-sketch controller.
