Day 1
I started off by building a Lego house so I could take it apart.
Day 2
I destroyed the house giving me 131 photos. Tommorow I will build something else new.
Day 3
Started to build something different so I could start to take it apart tomorrow.
Day 4
Started to take apart the thing I built giving me 300 pictures I am almost half way.
Day 5
I started off by getting robbed I lost a lot of progress. Then I built a race track giving me 461 photos.
Day 6
Started to build something new today.
Day 7
I started to use some lego people giving me 600 photos
Day 8
I finished the video and started to edit the video with iMovie. I finished the project today all I have to do is reflection.
Day 9
I started to do my reflection and then I will be done with this project.
Using IMotion, Legos, Ipad, and Imovie I created different stuff out of Legos because you can make them look like they are moving. I also created multiple different scenes and my favorite one was the boat. This project was fun but took a long time to do. this was not my favorite because of how long it took.
During this process, I learned that stop motion takes a long time. Another thing I learned was the camera needs to be steady when you record your video. I did get a way to hold the camera steady by putting it or leaning it on something. There were way more things I learned during this project.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructor because I started with a little bit of knowledge about stop motion and finished with a decent amount of knowledge. Another thing it could connect to is innovative designer. I would say this because I created something of my own and maybe with a little bit of help.
A challenge I overcame on this project was thinking of an idea to do for this project. I was able to do it by writing down ideas and picking the best one. One other challenge I had to overcome was getting things I could create with Legos. I solved this problem by just making random things that turned out well.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the topic or movie I did. The reason why I would change it is because I feel like there would be an easier topic instead of Legos. Another thing I would change would be how steady the camera was. I would try to get the camera to not move while I would be recording.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the digital multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in video editing. I think this would be a fun career to do.
