Day 1
Started to get my website ready for the project.
Day 2
Started to set up scene one which is a house with the ability to go inside.
Day 3
I just started scene two and added movement to a bus and a animal.
Day 4
I just started to add some animals outside of the house.
Day 5
Added a cool scenery to scene two.
Day 6
Don't have a picture because I will be using the VR. I also, might finish the project tommorow.
Day 7
Worked on my reflection and finished my project.
Day 8
Using CoSpaces, a computer, an iPad, and a VR headset, I created a neighborhood robbery because I thought it would be a fun thing to create. I also added a few animals around to give it a cool look. This project was a very cool experience for me.
During this process, I learned that making a VR world can be easy and the way it finishes is worth it. Another thing I learned is that when you make something move it needs to have an animation for it to look real. I was really excited to do this project. There were a lot of things I learned in the creation of this project.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructor because I started off not knowing how to create a VR world to now being able to. Another reason why it could be a knowledge constructor is we started off with little knowledge and gained a lot about VR. This is why it is a knowledge constructor.
A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to make things open and close. I was able to do it by looking around and finally figured out that if you right-click on the object you could get it. Another challenge I had was learning how to make something sit in a certain position. I was able to do this by right-clicking just like the open and close problem.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the number of scenes I had. The reason why I would change it is because having more scenes would give it a better story. Another thing I would fix if I had another chance would be the number of houses in the story. I feel like I could've had way more houses.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in software development. I think this would be an interesting career and job.
