7P3-Micro:Bit

Using a micro bit, wires, a computer, and a iPad I created the game flappy bird because I wanted to make something that you can play. Another thing I created was a rock paper scissors game. I made a lot more projects but I don't want to list all of them. using all these items you can make a lot of things.

During this process, I learned that coding is fun and cool to design. I also learned that coding can be difficult sometimes. You can also make anything with coding. I think I learned a lot while we were doing this project.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructer because you are slowly gaining more and more knowledge. Another thing or reason is because you are also figuring and learning new things. That's why I think it would be knowledge constructer.

A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to hook up the micro bit.. I was able to do it by getting someone to help me hook the micro bit up. One other challenge was trying to make what you wanted. I solved this problem by trying over and over till I got it.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the idea or game I was making. The reason why I would change it is because then I would not be making the same thing over and over again. I would also try to make something a little more difficult if we were able to do this again. The reason why I would do this is because I would want to get better at coding.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in Software Engineer. I don't think I would want to do this due to me not being that good at coding. Coding is still a fun thing to do when you want to do it.
