REFLECTION:

• Using TinkerCad, an iPad, and my website, I created a Christmas tree ornament. I created this because my Christmas tree  didn't have enough ornaments. Another reason I created this is because I wanted to make something  I could  use after3D printing it.

• During this process, I learned how to use TinkerCad. I also learned how to make a design that will actually print and not break. Another thing I learned is how to change from millimeters to inches on TinkerCad.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because  I actively searched for knowledge by searching up you tube videos. Another way I was a knowledge constructor is by searching things up on google.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was making the hook for my ornament. I was able to do it by exploring what shapes TinkerCad had. Another way I  was able to do it was by asking others for help. 

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the thickness of the rod that holds up the hook for my ornament. The reason why I would change it is because it was too thin. Another reason I would change this is because when I got my design the hook snapped off,

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.  I think my project connects to Engineering Design because I designed my ornament.

• My project connects to careers in software engineering. I think my project connects to this because they design things like I did with my ornament. Another reason is because software engineers also develop their designs like I did with my ornament.
