Using Makey Makey, I created a controller out of tinfoil because the tinfoil on the paper worked easier than playdough. Using Makey Makey, I created a play dough controller because you can use it to make different buttons, instead of just jumping. Using Makey Makey, I created a playdough controller that works for the timer game because the it shows the controller works for different apps. Using Makey Makey, I created a playdough controller for the snake game because we wanted to see if the controller would work for different games. Using the makey makey, I created a tinfoil/paper controller because we wanted to test if the controller worked for a different game.
During this process, I learned how to make a controller out of the makey makey, paper, and tinfoil. During this process, I learned how to use the makey makey to make the playdough into a controller. During this process, I learned how to make a playdough controller for the timer game and snake game. During this process, I learned how to make the a tinfoil/paper controller work 2 games.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because we made a controller. My project ties to Innovative Designer because we made a controller using makey makey. My project ties to Creative Communicator because we are showing people what we are making with the makey makey.
A challenge I overcame on this project was before, we used the paper and tinfoil, we used the clay that you had to tap it with wire for it to work. I was able to do it by using tinfoil and paper. A challenge I overcame on this project was using the playdough. I was able to do it by trying different ways to get it to work. A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the makey makey to be a controller. I was able to do it by trying different things with it to see if it would work.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the controller to look like a controller. The reason why I would change it is because the only thing the controller could do was jump. Given a chance to do this again, I would change the way in the beginning, the playdough controller. The reason why I would change it is because you couldn't tap it with your fingers.
