I am working by myself.

What materials will you need for your project?

I will need a merge cube and a website for making the scenes on my merge cube.

What is your plan to create in this project?

I will start by doing 10 good ideas and planning questions, then I will go to writing out my scenes, and then I will start coding and making the scenes to go in my merge cube, finally I will add them to my merge cube and add any final touches.

What unique qualities will your project have?

I will have unique scenes that no one else has.

Daily Log

Day 1 - Started my planning questions and daily log day 1

Day 2 - I decided on what story I was going to make and started planning it

Day 3 - I learned how to use CoSpaces

Day 4 - I made my first scene and attached the figures

Day 5 - I made my second scene

Day 6 - I made my third and fourth scene

Day 7 - I made my last scenes

Day 8 - Added it to iMovie and did my voice recording

Day 9 - I did my reflection

Day 10 - Made sure everything looked okay to turn in

Day 11 - Turned in the project

Using Merge Cubes and iMovie I created augmented reality story scenes because I wanted to show my story in real life. I wanted to make my story come to life and show people what was going on in my story.

During this process, I learned how to use merge cubes and what augmented reality was.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I was able to learn how to make things onto a merge cube and show it in real life. I also learned what augmented reality was and how I could make it.

A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to figure out how to use the website and merge cube. I was able to do it by asking questions and going step by step.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the story scenes I used. The reason why I would change it is because I saw people making very complex and amazing stories and scenes.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in that I was able to come up with a story idea and create a virtual representation of that. My project connects to careers in Digital and Immersive Training Intern, and Augmented and Virtual Reality Engineer.
