Planning Questions
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am working by myself.
What materials will you need for your project?
I will need a micro: bit, batteries, usb cord, MakeCode coding website, an iPad, and a computer
What is your plan to create in this project?
I will think of things to create and I will find out how to code them. I will try many different ways to code on a Micro: Bit
What unique qualities will your project have?
I will make stuff that other people aren't and I will do it my own way.
Daily Log
Day 1: I learned how to use the Micro: Bit's and how to use the coding website
Day 2: I made my name on a micro: bit and downloaded it to the micro: bit. I then recorded the micro:bit saying my name and added it to my drive
Day 3: I made a flashing heart, added it to my micro: bit, recorded it using my iPad, and added it to my drive
Day 4: I made a dice and true or false generator and added it to my micro: bit. Then I recorded it on my iPad and added it to my drive
Day 5: I took screenshots of my work and added it to my drive then started my reflection
Day 6: Finished my reflection
Using micro: bits and micro: bit website, I created codes for my micro: bit because I wanted to create different micro: bit codes.
During this process, I learned how to code and create things using micro: bits.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I walked in not knowing how to code or even know what micro: bits are, to walking out knowing how to code things onto micro: bits.
A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to code with micro: bits. I was able to do it by being patient and learning how to use micro: bits.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the fact that I didn't make something better. The reason why I would change it is because I know that I could make something better out of the micro: bits.
