Daily Log
Day 1: We got in our groups and decided what we were going to make
Day 2: My group and I made our list of 10 ideas and our planning questions
Day 3: We started planning out how we were going to do the sandals
Day 4: We got the materials we needed and cut out the shape of the sandal
Day 5: We started gluing the cardboard together to make the sandal have a stronger structure
Day 6: We added the flap over the sandal to finish it off
Day 7: We finished our reflection and took pictures of the cardboard projects
Using cardboard, I created sandals because they are easy and we wanted to make something that we could wear.
During this process, I learned how to make things out of cardboard and work with others successfully.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I made things out of cardboard and we made it without any steps. It also ties to Knowledge because we came here with no knowledge on how to create something out of cardboard and left knowing how to make all different kinds of things using cardboard.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing what to make and not knowing how to make it. I was able to do it by asking for help and working together with my partners to make the sandals..
Given a chance to do this again, I would make something that put more effort into it. The reason why I would change it is because everyone else made things that were super cool and we just made something that was simple and easy.
