Micro Bits

Using a micro bit and coding I created my micro bit to say my name in a line with the micro bit site. I also made the little machine show a heart while it switched to little heart, and "Hello!" when shook. I did this because I wanted it to look like a heart beating and the "hello" because it felt necessary.

My micro bit flashes a heart in the motion of it beating, and also some greeting. In the next video it shows my name going across the micro bit screen.

during this process I learned more coding skills and how to make my micro bit do what i manipulate/code it to do. I made it do very cool things including playing music. This learning is important because it could connect with future jobs.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to The standers my project tie to are empowered learner. I chose this because i set personal learning goals for myself that could connect with future jobs. (coding)

A challenge I overcame was how to actually code the micro bit. I also had trouble on how to download all of the coding onto the micro bit from the computer. I overcame this by looking up videos of how to do everything, and asking people questions.

Given the chance to do this again, i would make my micro bit flash something more advanced. Next time i would possibly use sound and a cooler picture. I would like to learn more of what i could do with the micro bit next time also.

A career connection this project had was coding. In the future i could learn to code games for kids, fit bit/step counting watch, also some apps, scoreboards, timers, and much more. this is important because it could help with entertainment and fitness for many people.
