I was working on a team with Abbie and Makayla, the materials you will need for this are a cardboard box, a makey makey set, scissors, and duct tape. Our plan to create this project was to re-create our elementary game and make it at least playable, some of the unique qualities that I want our project to have is to be a cool way play a game maybe if you cannot afford it and be easy to make.

Using cardboard, the makey makey, and my team with abbie and makayla, I created a DIY operation board game because it's a project we've never done and we've all expirienced this fun game while younger and we wanted to re-create it.
During this process, I learned a lot of problem solving and how to fix things easily and not stress when you don't have a significant ammount of time but do your best with what you have.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to creative communicator because i had to talk with my group and we all had to agree on a certain way to do the project with the ammount of time and materials we have.
A challenge I overcame on this project managing time. I was able to do it by just trying to do our best within the time we had while trying to make our project workout the way we want it to.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how we did the board. The reason why I would change it is that it takes up a lot of space.

My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in programming board games because we had to use the makey makey and program it to the computer to make our game work correctly.
