8P7- "Custom Song"

Using ChatGPT and Soundtrap, I created a song about losing someone special called "Fading Echoes" because I wanted to create a song hat allows the listener's to connect with. Some songs don't always allow people o connect with them so I wanted to make a difference. I also used an iPad and microphone to create the vocals. 

During this process, I learned how to edit music and layer vocals to create a layered style. I also learned how to control my voice while singing more difficult notes. I also had to ask friend in choir how to echo my voice. 

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructor because I used my prior knowledge of singing to make the song. I also had to use my band skills to help with making most of the beats. 

A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to come up wit the background music and beats. I was able to do it by asking ChatGPT for some ideas. The A.I. generator gave me 4 beats with steady tempos between 60-78 bpm as a tempo. The app also created the lyrics yet I adjusted them slightly to fit the style. 

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the style of song. The reason why I would change it is because I want to see how different each style of songs are. I would either make a pop or rap song next. I would also attempt to make the beats by myself.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the digital multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.  This is because I used multiple platforms and websites to create the song.

My project connects to careers in A.I. song making because I used A.I. platforms to create the lyrics. I also used A.I. to adjust beats and tempos. I also used an online music maker to create the music. A.I. was also used to help create the downbeats. I adjusted the A.I. to make it sound better.
