Our central idea this term is 'Knowledge about previous generations may help us to make links between the past and the present'.
We will be exploring the following lines of inquiry:
How progress is made to strive towards equality. (Change)
How we learn lessons from the past. (Connection)
The role we play can ensure fairness for all. (Responsibility)
This week we enjoyed creating a piece of artwork for an art competition. For the theme 'diversity', we decided to create a piece of artwork to celebrate how we all share the planet and embrace our differences.
For DT this term, we are going to be making a bug house for our woodwork project. We have looked at bug houses that already exist and designed one that we would like to make. Oak had a practice of using some different tools.
We enjoyed making a dinosaur poster with Year 6 children this week. On our poster we showed that we were able to change the font, underline words and use italics as well as change the size and colour of key words. It was fun!
In Elm class, we enjoyed finishing our sculptural bowls this week. In Oak. we enjoyed making our bug houses.
We enjoyed sports week! On Friday we danced for 75 minutes to raise money for the NHS.
