Enrichment
Type I Enrichment activities are general exploring experiences to get students interested in a particular topic (i.e. field trips, guest speakers, artists-in-residence).
Type II Enrichment activities provide group training, they let students practice the skills and acquire the knowledge they will need to successfully conduct their own activities (i.e. independent studies, portfolio preparations).
Type III Enrichment activities are individual or small group investigations of real problems based on students’ interests and skills with the aim to produce a product for real audiences. (i.e. performances, art shows, YouTube channels, community outreach).

Former Renzulli student, Danielle Begin, spoke to students about her time in Renzulli and her educational path following. She focused on self confidence and led an activity allowing students to grow their confidence and seeing themselves through different lenses.

Joey Marsocci is a local artist that came and did four sessions to speak with all the students. He shared his life story and focused on the challenges he had to overcome such being color blind, a rejection to the only college he applied to, and learning he was on the austism spectrum later on in life. He share how art helped him fit in, face hardships and lead him to amazing experiences. He shared about his exciting experience going to Disney College and then working with a team to create The Jurassic Park ride in universal and meeting Director Spielberg.

Coach Falecia and Coach Keith Porter from Progession Training came and spoke to each grade separately. They both played basketball since middle school and contiued to play in college and post college. The presentation focused on Coach Keith and his dream to play in the NBA. He shared his journey to teach about hardwork, goal setting, persiverance and learning to pivot.

Coach Falecia and Coach Keith returned to work with students in grade 4. They shared a quick summary of their background and focused on hard work and goal setting. They taught the students basics of basketball as well as skills they can continue to do. Communication and respect was woven throughout their visit.

Rachel McAnallen who is know as Ms. Math around the world. Ms. Math has a love for math and teaching and it's evident in all she does! Rachel did a two hour virtual mathematical modular origami session with both grades 4 and 5. The students and teachers both learned and enjoyed Ms. Math!!

Mrs. LaParre did lessons on creativity with students. She introduced why creaitivy is important, how it applies to the real world and how it is a skill you can grow. She did lessons to increase student's flexibilty, orginality, fluency, and elaboration.
