Through hands-on experiences with hydroponics, students explore the impact of weather on plant growth, incorporating math standards by measuring and comparing the growth of lettuce grown indoors versus outdoors. They have established a lettuce fridge as a community resource, applying real-world connections and promoting community engagement. Additionally, students engage in art integration through weaving, using daily temperature data to inform color patterns, and creating an installation that visually interprets temperature changes across grade levels.
