Although the Industrial Revolution began in Britain due to its abundance of natural resources and waterways, it quickly spread to other parts of the world. In order to truly identify the impact the Industrial Revolution had on these locations, you will be creating your own Global Map that will depict not only where the Industrial Revolution is happening, but also how it impacted the people that lived there.
Task: You will be using Google’s MyMaps (Directions for how to use!) to create a map showing the spread of industrialization. On your map, you will create a tag for 4 different places showing the locations of production and change. You must stay within the time frame of 1750 - 1900. (Although there will be some events that happen pre-World War I (1900-1914) which is okay!)
For each tag, you must complete the following:
1. Describe the spread of industrialization OR the lack of industrialization. (When did it happen? Why did it happen here?)
2. What are the raw material(s) exported from here OR What are 2 pieces of technology/inventions that were created here.
3. How did industrialization affect this area? (Think socially, economically, and politically)
Picture of Industrialization in this location, the invention, and/or raw material.
