The Hanover Student Assistance Program (SAP) is a way to identify, intervene or help high-risk teenagers who are having persistent problems. High risk includes- drug or alcohol problems-suicide - mental health problems-depression relationship problems-eating disorders-school-related issues. It is a method for intervening and referring these students to appropriate community services.
It is an intervention – not a treatment program.
