Pennsylvania's Dual Enrollment program allows school districts to partner with colleges and universities to offer high school juniors and seniors the chance to earn college credit while completing their high school requirements. Students have the opportunity to take college courses on campus at a reduced tuition rate. This learning format affords students both scheduling flexibility and academic challenge. These courses are offered in cooperation with post-secondary institutions such as Harrisburg Area Community College, Penn State York, and York College.
While students participating in the program continue to receive a discounted cost for tuition from participating colleges and universities, no additional financial subsidy or reimbursement for costs to participate is available.
