4th Grade with Mrs. Bos

Week 32

announcements

It is crazy to think that we are in April! There are many things to look forward to over the next few weeks - field trips, a Spring Concert, and all kind of fun end of the year activities. I look forward to making these weeks count with your student!

On Tuesday, we will be visiting Sugar Pine Railroad! Thank you to those of you that volunteered to be parent drivers, this will be such a fun day! We will be leaving school at  7:45 am, and be back by 3 pm. Here is a link to the email I sent last week with everything you need to know about this trip.

On Thursday of this week, we are celebrating a 4th grade birthday! This student's parent will be bringing pizza to celebrate at lunch. If your child would like to bring their own lunch, that's also fine, but a lunch will be provided.

HCS 3rd and 4th graders were invited to CVC's Ag Day on Tuesday, April 16th. They will take a bus there and be back around 1 pm, it should be a fun day!

We have a big project coming up! We have been studying California's history, and students will be participating in a Wax Museum presentation on May 17th! It will be open for parents and families to come and visit in the afternoon. Mark your calendars! Each student picked a famous Californian to study. Students have a packet we have been working on in class. The presentation with include a trifold board that we will work on in class (stay tuned for dates), a short speech (written in class), and a research paper (Also, written in class). Students will need a 'costume' of some form to dress like their chosen Californian. Please refer to the packet for any questions you may have, and contact me if you need any further clarification.

Students are finishing up Unit 6 in Math, focusing on fractions. In addition to their homework and remembering pages, they also have an additional packet that we are working through in class to help prepare them for 5th grade.
