4th Grade with Mrs. Bos

Week 10

announcements

The first quarter is almost DONE! The quarter ends on Friday, October 13th. Please ensure that you are double checking your student's planner and helping hold them accountable for their assignments. My goal is that your student grows not only academically and spiritually, but also in their responsibility as the year goes on.

We are headed on a road trip! On October 30th, we will be visiting Mission San Luis Obispo. You should have received an email from me about this last week. We will depart school by 7:40 am, and return by normal pick up time at 2:30 pm. More details to come as it gets closer.

Worship with us! Each day our class prays that we are able to use the armor that God has provided us to boldly walk the path He has laid for us. What a mighty God we serve!

PLEASE check your student's planner each night to make sure they have completed all work. Any work not finished in class is considered homework. Thank you for your help with this!

What's happening

Grades will be updated weekly.

HOMEWORK

As we have been working through Unit 2 in Math, I have noticed that students need to review their multiplication facts. Students will now be sent home with a packet of fact fluency practice. You may recognize the study sheets and signature page from 3rd grade! The packet will be due Friday. Students made flash cards in class, and I have encouraged them to practice with these at home as well.

Students are working on their 4th vocabulary roots packet of the year! This is a challenging packet, we work on it in small groups so that I can guide them. They will be tested on the meaning of these roots and words on Friday, October 13th. Linked here  is a Quizlet that is a useful study tool.

Your student has a reading notebook that is being worked on each day. On Friday, they have notebook checks. If the notebook is not complete, they will spend recess time getting it caught up.

*Most work that is not completed in class will be taken home as homework. This will be noted in the planner.

But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.
