PAC Mentor Position Description
Position Summary:
Student mentors will be previous PAC participants (exceptions granted) who will hold a year-long position supporting PAC participants. Peer mentors have shown to be beneficial for new students as they provide a perspective different from staff and can meaningfully speak about their personal experiences as college students.
Learning Outcomes:
Enhance professional networking skills
Develop leadership skills
Facilitate group conversation/group experiences
Improve relationship-building with peers
Identify and explain the benefits of the PAC mentoring experience to professional and academic goals.
Time Commitment/Schedule:
Weekly 1 hour PAC mentor meetings, independent and asynchronous/remote work
3-6 hours a week, depending on the week and the events happening
