PAC is a program that really works! Our data shows that eligible students who participate in PAC earn higher GPAs, complete more college credit hours, and are more likely to stay in school! Providing students with a strong community, access to information, and resources leads to greater student success in college.
Eligible students who participate in PAC successfully complete more college credits compared to those who do not participate in the program. Students who participated in PAC during the Fall 2023 term show stronger academic performance in both term GPA measurements as well as when considering completion of enrolled credit hours. PAC students are more likely to successfully finish their coursework each semester.
Overall, eligible students who participate in PAC earn higher GPAs compared to those who do not. Students who participated in the PAC program earn approximately 7-10% higher GPAs than those who do not participate. Not only do PAC students pass their classes, but they earn better grades!

The retention rate for first-year PAC students from Fall to Spring exceeds that of the PAC eligible students as well as the remainder of the Hamline University first-year students.
