ADVANCED PLACEMENT - These courses are designed for students who will be pursuing a college education and who are willing to accept the rigor these classes require. Students will be held to standards comparable to those of actual college-level courses. Students may elect to take an Advanced Placement Examination administered by the College Board for each Advanced Placement course they are taking.
Big Changes for AP Tests beginning in 2019-20!
Starting with the 2019-2020 school year, students enrolling in Advanced Placement courses will need to order their exams, which cost $94, by October 4. If the class does not start until second semester, the exam will need to be ordered by March. This is a major change from previous years, when all exams were ordered late spring. Moreover, there will be a $40 late order fee and a $40 fee for any unused or cancelled exam. Click here for more information regarding the changes to the AP test order deadlines and fees.
AP exams will still be administered in May by any student who is currently enrolled in an AP class. . College credit may be earned based on the individual student's AP exam scores.

- AP Drawing 2D Art & Design,
- Computer Science,
- Language and Composition,
- Literature and Composition,
- Environmental Science (fall semester only, 1 credit),
- Macroeconomics (spring semester only, 1 credit),
- U.S. History,
- Government and European History.
AP grades are weighted on a 5.0 scale (A=5; B=4; C=3; D=2; and F=0).
