What's on in Room 11?

We are using Education Perfect at the moment. Log on and see what tasks you have.

Tuhituhi/Writing: We are learning how to write to persuade our readers, how can we get people to agree with us through our writing?

Pānui/Reading: We are learning about the ways the author uses language to get a message across, what literary devices does the author use?

Pangarau/Maths: We are working on fractions, what is a fraction? What does each part of the number mean? Fractions of shapes, fractions of sets, fractions of numbers...?

Mahi toi/art: We will finish our Te Ra art with Whaea Monika.

Te Reo Māori: We are learning directions in Te Reo Māori so that we can use this during Operetta.

Sport and fitness: We are practicing for cross country and thinking about running techniques and PACING!!

Operetta: We are practicing our dance and our lines and we are thinking about costumes and props.

Genius Hour: We are well underway with our Genius Hour projects now and we are thinking about how to record our progress.

Pūtaiao: We are learning to be critical thinkers and use evidence to back up our observations and ideas. We are growing some bacteria to see how clean our classroom is. We are using a House of Science box about energy from the sun.

Toi kupu/poetry - we are using poetry to learn to speak with expression, think about rhythm and project our voices.

All this as well as Hui whakahirahira, oral language, wharepukapuka (library), fitness, pānui kaiako...and lots more!!
