Welcome to Wiki 3 of term 3.

What's on in Room 11?

Tuhituhi/Writing: We are learning how to write to persuade our readers, how can we get people to agree with us through our writing?

Pānui/Reading: We are all learning different reading skills including how to compare and contrast different texts, how to skim and scan a text for information and how to make inferences.

Pangarau/Maths: It is maths week so we are working independently on maths tasks and working in fractions with Edie.

Mahi toi/art: We will continue with our Te Ra art with Whaea Monika.

Te Reo Māori: We are learning directions in Te Reo Māori so that we can use this during Operetta.

Sport and fitness: We are practicing for cross country and thinking about running techniques and PACING!!

Operetta: We are practicing our item for the Operetta.

Genius Hour: We are working out what our driving question is, 'Can I learn to...'

Pūtaiao: We are learning to be critical thinkers and use evidence to back up our observations and ideas. We are also looking into ...germs...prompted by our book 'Gold fish boy'.

Toi kupu/poetry - we are using poetry to learn to put speak with expression, think about rhythm and project our voices.

All this as well as Hui whakahirahira, oral language, wharepukapuka (library), fitness, pānui kaiako...and lots more!!
