What's on this week in Room 11?
Tuhituhi/Writing: We continue to learn how to write a good explanation by:
Thinking about the STRUCTURE of our writing
Using causal language to explain the HOW and WHY
Pānui/Reading: We are reading Harley Hitch and the Iron Forest as a class and responding with creative tasks
Pangarau/Maths: We are learning multiplication and division and working on understanding and memorising our times tables.
Pūtaiao/Science: We are continuing to learn about sound and thinking creatively about Soundscapes!
Mahi toi/art: Drawing a face, we have practiced how to use proportions for features...now we try drawing real faces
Te reo Māori: E hia? (how many?) Kupu - insects, numbers,
All this as well as...Kori tinana/fitness - (next term we have cross country)

Matariki kite building with Ruthie our wonderful student teacher
Don't forget we finish school at 12.30pm on Wednesday and some students are out for the Tough Guy/Girl mud run on Thursday and we have the opening of Te Ara o Ngahere (The Nature Trail) on Tuesday afternoon (weather permitting)
