Mrs. Faye Kurtis

Welcome back 5th graders! My name is Faye Kurtis, and along with Mr. DeFillippis, I will also be one of your teachers this year. I will be teaching writing with Mr. DeFillippis in 5D/K's class and 5 C/G's class, in addition to teaching math with Mrs. Capizzi in 5 D/K's class. I will be with 5 D/K for all other periods, such as morning meeting and science and social studies. This is my 13th year teaching and my third year teaching at Tatem! I am so excited to be your teacher this year. I live with my wonderful husband, daughter and two Italian Greyhounds, Howie and Shay. My daughter, Sarina, just turned four this summer. We love to travel, and we just came back from a fantastic vacation to Europe on a Disney cruise. I am really looking forward to getting to know you this school year! Mrs. Vanessa Gottesfeld

Hello 5th Graders and families. I am excited to be working with you this year. I will be teaching reading with Mrs. Gibson with homerooms 5CG and 5DK. I will also be teaching math and social studies/science with Mrs. Capizzi with 5CG. This is my 17th year of teaching overall and my third year at Tatem. Outside of school, I love traveling to National Parks and visiting new cities with my husband. We just got back from visiting the Pacific Northwest this summer.
