On Jan. 12, Victor Rodgers, HACC’s vice president of workforce development and continuing education, announced that he will retire from the College on June 1, 2023.
Rodgers, who has been at the College since 2014, has played an integral role in:
Adding and expanding new programs, including cannabis training, a fully-online Community Health Worker Program, apprenticeship programs, some of which were the first of their kind in the Commonwealth, and a high school workforce development training for seniors to meet the ever-changing needs of HACC communities.
Promoting the College’s offerings and diversity initiatives within HACC’s 11-county region and beyond through panels, articles, television appearances and presentations.
Ensuring that our hands-on programs continued to be offered throughout the pandemic.
Dr. Ski, added, “Vic has played a transformational role at the College since 2014. We thank him for his dedication and service, and wish him the best of luck in his next chapter. He truly will be missed.”
The College will conduct a national search for a new vice president of workforce development and continuing education. The job will be posted soon.
Bob Stakem, HACC’s executive director of public safety training, will serve as the interim vice president of workforce development and continuing education beginning June 2 if a new vice president is not hired before June 1, 2023.
