Kudos to Catherine Frost (Mathematics), Bill Hartzell (Biology), Richard Moss (History), and Cristal Renzo (English) for taking time out of their fall break to join a meeting at the Gettysburg Campus on October 17 with teachers and administrators from Littlestown Area School District to discuss new partnership opportunities.

Kudos to Trevor Setvin on receiving the Michael and Suzanne Osborn Community College Outstanding Educator Award from the National Communication Association.
Kudos to Erik Whiteside, maintenance technician, for leading the Lancaster facilities building sewer system emergency repair project while balancing his annual trip to hike the Appalachian trail.
Kudos to the Lancaster and Lebanon custodial teams for the excellent work they do to keep everyone safe. We sometimes forget that they have personal lives and have to balance work needs with the needs of their loved ones at home.
Kudos to Brett Thompson, Erik Hansbury, Cloyd Buckley, Doug Murray, Sean Beaver and Austin Gish for working hard multiple days towards the goal of repairing all potholes and repainting all crosswalks at the Harrisburg Campus.
Kudos to Quentin Moore for helping the maintenance team with a back-up vehicle following unexpected mechanical failures. You saved the day!
Kudos to Dave Edwards, Tom Frye, Dale Hardy, Ron Worby, Ron Benkendorf (and any other maintenance team members I missed) for spearheading, planning and successfully relocating the giant plotter from Lancaster to Harrisburg.
Kudos to Leroy Wade for always going above and beyond at Midtown 1 and almost single-handedly moving the Early Childhood Education items from Midtown 1 to Harrisburg.
Kudos to Carrie Heikes, Hannah Brooker, and Etta Drabick for their continuous support of the Office of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management and for tackling numerous duties during the absence of a colleague this summer!
Kudos to Shelly Blanchette and Elisa Cohen for their presentation at NISOD’s annual conference and sharing with educators how HACC's Diversity Innovation Fund sponsorship helped a pilot program realize a 235 percent increase in CLEP language testing, as well as positive retention and graduation outcomes for multilingual students.
Kudos to Carrie Heikes for enhancing the commencement webpages and fine-tuning the commencement checklists in preparation for the fall 2022 ceremony.
Kudos to the financial aid specialists – Steve Helfrich, Rachel Waddel, Stephanie Otero, Masata Sweeney, and Rick Medeiros – for your work to serve students and address the many questions that come your way regarding financial aid.
Kudos to Matt Braswell and Anyea’ Abney for your willingness to help with so many different projects –and often on short notice. From no pay messaging, review of class eligibility for financial aid, and leading the college’s mental health support process, you do really good work!
