The Massage Therapy Student Studio has re-opened to the public after operating on a very limited schedule for the past year!
Massages are one-hour sessions using techniques that our students are learning in the massage therapy program, and we will make every effort to combine these techniques with your individual needs and preferences.
All massages are $40.
Please follow this link to book online! (You will be able to schedule multiple massage appointments.) https://noterro.com/clinics/view/92202fd102ca702450f7c2e1e9eebd91
Appointments are available Monday and Thursday afternoons and evenings, and Friday mornings and afternoons.
PLEASE NOTE: Visitors to all HACC campuses must fully comply with the masking and social distancing policies. While on campus, all students, employees, and visitors, even if they are fully vaccinated, will be expected to wear masks. The College’s official guidance on mask expectations can be found here.
Clients must also keep their face mask on during a massage session, as well. HACC takes your health and safety seriously and while we are still dealing with COVID, HACC will continue to follow CDC and PA Department of Health guidelines for reducing the spread of COVID.
We are looking forward to seeing you in the studio! (We are still located in the John N. Hall Technology Center on the Harrisburg Campus, Room 203.)
HACC’s Office of Workforce Development and Continuing Education is partnering with WellSpan Health Medical Group to upskill current employees to become medical assistants (MAs). HACC will hold five MA cohorts over the course of the current fiscal year in the following WellSpan regions: WellSpan Central (York), WellSpan East (Lancaster), and WellSpan West (Chambersburg/Gettysburg). These MA students are attending classes online and through Zoom, and skills labs will be held in-person. Clinical experiences will be held in WellSpan practices. Following successful completion of the part-time, evening MA program, students will sit for the National Healthcareer Association’s Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification examination and be promoted into available MA positions.
The first cohort of 10 students began in August 2021 and there will be two classes beginning in January 2022 and three in June 2022. We are excited that WellSpan chose HACC and the workforce development MA/CCMA program to help them meet their medical assisting needs. WellSpan is one of the first healthcare systems to actively be involved in building an internal pipeline of MAs by offering eligible, existing employees the opportunity to upskill and be promoted within the WellSpan Health system. While there is no cost to the employee for the MA training, they agree to work for WellSpan for a certain period of time following program completion–what an awesome opportunity to create a career pathway while working for one of Central Pennsylvania’s leading healthcare delivery systems!
HACC’s workforce development MA program can be completed in 11 months attending classes only three evenings a week. We are most definitely #HACCproud.
