The Great Blue Heron is a tall, wading bird. It has a large wingspan and hollow bones. It eats fish, frogs, turtles, birds, snakes, and insects. They want to be close to water and land so they can quickly grab food. In the Everglades, these birds have a lot of room to fly freely and capture prey. In Zoo Miami, the animals are in a restricted area and they can't leave. This would affect the type of animals they are able to capture and eat.
