In honour of Toms Walk we did a wellness walk for our mental health.
Learning Intention: Students understand wholes, halves and have an exposure to quarters.
Students were given multiple circles to cut into fractions and colour to turn into fish!
Students learned about polar bears including their bodies, diet, habitat and fun facts. They took notes and then created an informational piece of writing. They are learning to create a topic sentence, write facts and a closing sentence. They are also learning to edit their writing once it is complete. We then created polar bears out of clay!
Learning Intention: Students will identify if a shape is symmetrical or not.
Students went on a hallway search for images of shapes with a line of symmetry. They identified on their page if it was symmetrical or not.
Students were given a gummy worm to name and make a home for. They learned facts about worms and their bodies.
