GSGC Club Fundamentals and Expectations
We want GSGC-supported Mentors to use your imagination, creativity and enthusiasm to develop programs for your clubs. Each of you is unique, each of your communities is unique, and certainly every one of your children is unique. You are the one who knows best how to reach and help your young people. We encourage you to let your ideas shine!
At the same time, GSGC grants come with a responsibility to meet GSGC expectations for how clubs will be run. These fundamentals are not intended to limit what you do with young people. Rather they are based on our experience of what works best for impact and sustainability; they will also help you avoid what doesn’t work. Look at these as GSGC’s expectations of what you need to do. How you do them is up to you!
These are the minimum requirements for running GSGC-supported girls and/or boys clubs. Feel free to do more! We are here to support you, your love for young people, and your enthusiasm for creating gender equality.
